Which aircraft does the Obstacle Sensing Module fit?
The DJI Matrice 4D Series (4D and 4TD) directly, and the Matrice 4 Series (4E and 4T) with the latest firmware and the included Mounting Bracket (Matrice 4 Series).
Can it detect power lines?
DJI rates its effective sensing at up to 15 m/s against a 12 mm steel-core aluminum stranded wire. Performance varies with the material, position and shape of the obstacle, and with weather.
Can I use it with DJI Dock 3?
Yes. Retighten the screws with the included hex key and attach the LiDAR positioning label to the dock cover as shown in the manual.
Is it weather resistant?
It is rated IP55 and operates from -4°F to 122°F. Rain, snow, fog and dust can reduce sensing performance, so keep the radar dome clean.
How do I update its firmware?
Install it on the aircraft and it updates with the aircraft firmware through DJI FlightHub 2, DJI Pilot 2 or DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series).
