Which S2 model fits a golf course?

FJD positions the S2 Max for golf: its 300 m range (at 80% reflectivity) captures expansive courses faster, and FJD uses the resulting course model for autonomous mower deployment and route planning. The S2 and S2 Pro reach 120 m and suit smaller sites, buildings and corridors.

Do I need control points or a base station?

The S2 has an integrated RTK module for georeferenced point clouds on the go and supports PPK. RTK needs a correction source such as a CORS network or base station (for example FJD's Trion N10 CORS). We confirm the GNSS setup with your quote.

How accurate is it?

FJD specifies ≤1 cm relative and 3 cm absolute point cloud accuracy, and RTK accuracy of 8 mm + 1 ppm horizontal and 15 mm + 1 ppm vertical.

What deliverables does the software produce?

FJD Trion Model (PC and iPadOS) handles registration, 2D mapping, 3D mesh, Gaussian splatting, cross-section analysis and report generation. FJD Trion Model Web adds online review and team collaboration. Software licensing is confirmed with your quote.

How can it be carried?

Handheld, or with FJD's stabilizing vest, backpack, extension pole, car mount or robot-dog mount. A rolling suitcase that meets airline check-in standards is available for transport.

How long does the battery last?

About 3 hours per set of two batteries.
