The main unit weighs just 700 g, so one person can scan a clubhouse, a tee complex or a full building in a single walk. Multi-SLAM fusion eliminates drift with hybrid constraints, even in featureless areas like open parks, beaches and tunnels.

With the GNSS module, the P2 supports RTK positioning (H: 8 mm + 1 ppm, V: 15 mm + 1 ppm) and PPK, so as-built scans of greens, bunkers, drainage or fields line up with your survey and design files.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the P2?

After processing, FJD specifies 1 cm relative and 3 cm absolute accuracy (2 cm and 5 cm in real time). With the GNSS module, RTK positioning is rated at 8 mm + 1 ppm horizontal and 15 mm + 1 ppm vertical.

Do I need an RTK base station or CORS?

Not for local-coordinate scans: SLAM builds the model without satellite corrections. To tie scans to real-world coordinates, use the GNSS module with RTK corrections from a CORS network or base (such as FJD's Trion N10 CORS) or post-process with PPK. Control points are also supported. We confirm the GNSS setup with your quote.

What deliverables can I produce?

One scan gives point clouds (.las, .ply, .pts, .e57), 2D floor plans, 3D mesh models, 3D Gaussian Splatting and georeferenced panoramas. Capture runs in the FJD Trion Scan app, processing in FJD Trion Model (PC or tablet), and sharing in FJD Trion Model Web. Software licensing is confirmed with your quote.

Can it scan a whole golf hole or sports complex?

The P2 reaches 70 m on bright surfaces (40 m on dark ones) and runs about 4 hours per battery set, and multi-SLAM fusion limits drift across open turf. For big sites, the current firmware adds a Long-Time Mode for long-duration, large-area scans. Larger sites are scanned in sections and joined during processing.

What is the difference between the two configurations?

Standard ships without an external camera. The Insta360 X5 configuration adds an Insta360 X5 360° camera for up to 8K panoramic video and roughly 72 MP photos tied to the scan path.

Can it be used in rough conditions?

It is rated IP54 and operates from -20 to 50 °C. Two batteries charge at the same time on the 67 W fast charger.
