Frequently asked questions
Do I need an RTK base station?
You need an RTK correction source. FJD's manual recommends an NTRIP network RTK account (such as FJD's N10 CORS) where available; otherwise use FJD's local RTK base station, which is an optional item. We confirm the right setup for your site with your quote.
What comes standard and what is optional?
FJD lists the complete unit, battery, charger and paint bucket as standard. The tablet, RTK base station, V4e handheld point marker, independent anti-theft module and hard-surface tires are optional, so we build the quote around what your site needs.
How much can it mark per charge?
FJ Dynamics says one full charge covers one standard 11v11 football field. The two 95 Wh batteries swap quickly for all-day marking, and each can double as a power bank for small electronics.
What paint should I use?
FJD's manual calls for water-based paint that is harmless to the grass and complies with local regulations. The Mini holds 8 L, and the manual notes that a 20-liter bucket theoretically covers two full-size soccer fields. Actual use depends on line width, layout and paint dilution.
Can it mark parking lots or hard courts?
FJD's brochure lists optional hard-surface tires for marking on concrete and asphalt, including parking layouts. Grass sports fields are its main use. For large parking or industrial striping jobs, see FJD's PaintMaster Parking.
What warranty applies?
Warranty terms are set by FJ Dynamics and confirmed with your quote. OmniNova is an independent retailer and handles claims with the manufacturer for you.
