Frequently asked questions
Do I need an RTK base station?
Not necessarily. The FV2000 supports network RTK over NTRIP, so it can get centimeter-level corrections over the internet without a base station. FJD's page also mentions installing an 'RTK station' in about 10 minutes, but its factory configuration lists only the mower, charging station and adapter, so we confirm whether a station or a correction service is needed for your lawn with your quote.
How large a lawn can it handle?
FJD recommends it for up to 2,000 m² (half an acre). For larger properties, see the FJD FR4000 (about 1 acre) or the commercial FRX, Titan and Rough Ranger.
Can it mow separate lawns?
Yes. With Drop & Run you define work zones anywhere, carry the mower to a separate lawn and it starts mowing without a link to the charging station.
How steep can it go?
It climbs up to 33° (65%), and FJD suggests mowing slopes up to 25° (47%), with routes planned up and down the slope rather than across it.
How are software updates handled?
One-click OTA updates through the FJD Landscaping app, typically 5–10 minutes, at no additional cost for life according to FJD.
What warranty applies?
Warranty terms are set by FJ Dynamics and confirmed with your quote. OmniNova is an independent retailer and handles claims with the manufacturer for you.
