DJI Matrice 4T Universal Edition

The DJI Matrice 4T Universal Edition is a flagship compact enterprise drone purpose-built for professionals who need thermal imaging, long-range zoom, and AI-assisted detection in a single deployable system. Weighing just 1,219 g with standard propellers, the M4T integrates a wide-angle camera, 3x medium tele camera, 7x tele camera with 112x hybrid zoom, a 640 × 512 thermal imager, laser range finder, and NIR auxiliary light into one airframe — giving field operators the sensor suite of a much larger platform without the weight or setup time. Designed for Public Safety, Industrial Inspection, Search and Rescue, and Critical Infrastructure operations, the M4T launches in under 15 seconds using vision-assisted home point updates and stays airborne for up to 49 minutes on standard propellers.

• Laser range finder: measures distances up to 5,905 ft / 1,800 m with accuracy of ±(0.2 + 0.0015D) meters.
• 112x hybrid zoom: 7x tele camera reads license plates from 820 ft / 250 m with foreground stabilization.
• NIR auxiliary light: 5.7° FOV illuminates targets at up to 328 ft / 100 m for low-light visible imaging.
• Max wind resistance: 12 m/s (Level 6).

The M4T's thermal capability goes beyond simple heat detection. The uncooled vanadium oxide sensor operates across two gain modes — High Gain (-20°C to 150°C) and Low Gain (0°C to 550°C) — to match the temperature range of the target environment. High-Res Live View Mode provides superior image clarity for thermally flat scenes such as search patterns and perimeter surveillance, while the new ambient temperature sensor automatically compensates environmental conditions to improve live measurement accuracy. With nine selectable palettes including Iron Red, Arctic, and Medical, and support for both spot and area temperature measurement, the M4T gives operators the information they need without requiring post-flight processing.

• DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise: 7.02-inch, 1400-nit touchscreen controller is the designated RC for M4T operations.
• DJI FlightHub 2: supports remote operation, virtual cockpit, AI detection, and custom flight area management.
• DJI Pilot 2 App: runs natively on RC Plus 2; supports manual flight, waypoint routes, and real-time camera switching.
• DJI Terra (V4.4+): supports PPK processing and 5-Directional Oblique Capture post-processing for M4T imagery.
• DJI Thermal Analysis Tool 3.0: processes M4T thermal images for temperature anomaly detection and reporting.
• DJI AS1 Speaker payload: real-time voice broadcast up to 984 ft / 300 m; compatible with simultaneous AL1 Spotlight use.
• DJI AL1 Spotlight payload: Gimbal-Following illumination at up to 328 ft / 100 m; Always-On and Strobe modes.
• D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station: supports Base Station, Rover, and Relay modes; relay extends M4T transmission range up to 15 mi / 25 km.

The DJI Matrice 4T Universal Edition exists to close the gap between what operators need to see and what they can safely access. Whether the mission calls for thermal anomaly detection, nighttime subject tracking, or long-range zoom identification, the M4T puts the right sensor on target with the endurance and transmission reliability to keep it there throughout the operation.

• Public safety: AI-assisted detection of people, vehicles, and vessels supports law enforcement and crowd monitoring operations.
• Search and rescue: thermal High-Res Live View Mode combined with Observed View and Cruise control reduces operator cognitive load during grid searches.
• Powerline inspection: 7x tele camera with foreground stabilization captures cotter pins and hardware on transmission towers from a safe standoff distance.
• Critical infrastructure: thermal temperature measurement and NIR illumination enable 24-hour monitoring of substations, pipelines, and facilities.
• Night operations: NIR auxiliary light and Night Scene Mode across all three visible cameras maintain identification capability in environments as dark as 0.5 lux.
• Emergency response: 15-second rapid takeoff, anti-GNSS interference capability, and vision-assisted RTH support quick-deploy trunk-of-vehicle operations.
• Industrial inspection: LRF-enabled Line & Area Drawing quantifies distances and surface areas for ground teams without requiring personnel to enter hazardous zones.
