Wall-mounted hybrid solar inverter and battery cabinet installed in a clean modern garage — power inverters from OmniNova Home Systems

Green Energy / Power Inverters

Solar Inverters From 3kW to 60kW — Hybrid, Off-Grid, and Grid-Tie

The inverter is the decision that defines your solar system. It sets how much PV you can connect, how much power you can draw at once, whether you can run without the grid, and whether you can add batteries later. Panels are interchangeable; the inverter is not. OmniNova Home Systems carries residential and commercial inverters from Sol-Ark, Growatt, SunGoldPower, MidNite Solar, RUiXU, and Tigo — from a $769 stackable 3kW off-grid unit to a 60kW commercial three-phase platform.

Start With How Your System Connects

Hybrid Inverters — Grid, Solar, and Battery in One

Hybrid (all-in-one) inverters manage solar input, battery storage, and the grid connection simultaneously, switching to backup power when the utility drops. This is the right choice for most homeowners adding solar with backup in mind. The Sol-Ark 15K-2P accepts 19,500W of PV against a 15,000W output on 48V 120/240V split phase; the Sol-Ark 12K-2P pairs 13,000W PV with 12,000W output. MidNite Power “TheOne” MN 15-12KW-AIO handles 15kW PV input at 600V VOC with 11.4kW output. The RUiXU RX-12K brings four independent MPPTs and generator-ready inputs to a 12kW whole-home build, and the Tigo EI 11.4kW and Growatt SPH 10000TL add Ethernet and Wi-Fi monitoring out of the box.

Off-Grid Inverters — Battery-Based, No Utility Required

Off-grid inverter-chargers run entirely from a battery bank, using solar and an optional generator to recharge. They produce pure sine wave AC suitable for sensitive electronics, well pumps, and inductive loads. The Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM-48P stacks in parallel as your load grows, making it the lowest-risk entry point at 48V. Step up through the SunGoldPower 6.5kW, 8kW, and 10kW split-phase units, the Growatt SPF 12000T (UL 1741 certified), and the RUiXU SUNON12 at 12kW. MidNite Solar’s Rosie (7,000W) and Little Rosie (3,600W with a 60A battery charger) are American made and built for mobile and cabin installations.

Grid-Tie String Inverters — Maximum Yield, No Battery

If your goal is offsetting the utility bill and you don’t need outage protection, a straight grid-tie inverter delivers the most watts per dollar. The Growatt MIN-XH series covers 6kW, 7.6kW, and 11.4kW residential arrays. Be clear-eyed about the tradeoff: a grid-tie inverter without storage shuts down during an outage by design, for line-worker safety. If backup matters at all, buy hybrid now rather than replacing the inverter later.

Commercial Three-Phase

For light commercial, agricultural, and multi-building sites, the Sol-Ark 30K-3P (120/208V three-phase) and Sol-Ark 60K-3P (480V three-phase) scale the same hybrid architecture to commercial service. Confirm your service voltage and phase configuration with your utility before ordering — a 480V unit cannot be installed on 208V service.

How to Size It

Three numbers matter, and they are not the same number. Continuous output is what the inverter sustains all day — size it to your simultaneous load, not your total connected load. Surge rating covers the momentary inrush of well pumps, compressors, and air conditioner startups, which can spike to several times running watts. PV input capacity is how much array the inverter accepts, and it is normally higher than the output rating on purpose — modest DC oversizing keeps the inverter near peak efficiency through morning and evening rather than only at solar noon.

Nearly everything in this collection is built on a 48V battery platform, which is the practical standard for whole-home systems: at 48V the same power moves at a quarter of the current of a 12V bank, so wiring is smaller, resistive losses are lower, and the system runs cooler.

Match Before You Buy

Inverters, batteries, and charge controllers have to agree on voltage class, current rating, and communication protocol — a closed-loop battery that can't talk to your inverter falls back to voltage-only charging and gives up capacity and cycle life. Installation also has code implications: grid-interactive equipment requires utility interconnection approval, and rapid shutdown compliance may call for additional components. If you're assembling from parts rather than buying a matched kit, our energy team will verify compatibility before you order. Call 1-(210) 900-2018, or browse Energy Storage, Solar Panels, and System Components to complete the build.

Power Inverters / Find Your Match

Which Inverter Do You Actually Need?

Answer four quick questions about how your home or site connects to power, and we'll point you to the right inverter type — Hybrid, Off-Grid, Grid-Tie, or Commercial Three-Phase — with real products sized to your load.

What kind of site is this for?

This determines whether you need a residential or three-phase commercial platform.

What's your service voltage?

Confirm this with your utility before ordering — a 480V unit cannot be installed on 208V service.

Do you have utility grid power available at this location?

Not sure what this means for inverter type? iGrid-tied systems connect to and interact with utility power. Off-grid systems run entirely on batteries, independent of any utility.

If the power goes out, do you want your system to keep running?

iHybrid inverters manage solar, battery, and grid together and switch to backup automatically. Grid-tie inverters maximize solar savings but shut off in an outage by design, for line-worker safety. This is the single biggest factor in which inverter you need.

Roughly how much of your home do you want backed up?

This sizes continuous output — what the inverter sustains all day.

What's the scale of the system?

Off-grid inverters run entirely from your battery bank, so size to your actual daily load.

About how large is your planned solar array?

Grid-tie inverters are sized to PV input capacity since there's no battery to size around.
