Split-Phase 120/240V Inverters

Most US homes are wired for split-phase 120/240V: two 120V legs that combine to 240V. Choose a split-phase inverter if you need to run 240V loads such as a well pump, electric dryer, range, central AC, or a Level 2 EV charger.
You may hear it called “dual-phase” or simply “240V.” On spec sheets, look for split-phase or 120/240V.
Buyer tip: Size the inverter for surge as well as continuous power. Well pumps and AC compressors can draw 3–6× their running watts for a moment at start-up.
