The Heli 4.0 is IstaBreeze's helicopter-series turbine, purpose-built for inland sites and direct grid feed-in. Unlike the standard i-series, the Heli model adds an azimuth bearing — a double-race plain bearing with grease nipples for periodic re-lubrication — letting the nacelle track wind direction more precisely. Repeller blades and nacelle cover are hand-laminated and painted, not injection molded, for tighter tolerances at this power class.
Grid-Tie Ready
This is the on-grid variant, wired for direct feed-in through a compatible grid-tie inverter rather than battery charging. Feed begins at approximately 100 RPM, with an evenly increasing performance curve up to rated output. A separate rectifier handles both directions of rotation for consistent power delivery regardless of wind shift. Off-grid also available: If you need battery charging instead of grid feed-in, the Heli 4KW 48V Off-Grid Wind Turbine uses the same turbine body with 48V battery-charging electronics instead of the on-grid rectifier configuration described here.
