What is the difference between the S1 and S1 Pro?
The S1 Pro has 32 sensors and captures 640,000 points per second, double the S1's 16 sensors and 320,000 points per second. FJD describes the Pro as delivering greater accuracy and efficiency with upgraded hardware. Range and field of view are the same.
How do I get georeferenced point clouds?
FJD pairs the S1 backpack with the FJD Trion V1t RTK rover for georeferenced point clouds with centimeter-level accuracy and no external control points. The car mount can also be combined with RTK. We confirm the RTK setup with your quote.
What configurations are available?
Handheld, backpack, drone mount and car mount. Optional accessories include a panoramic camera for RGB texture, the backpack, the car mount and an extension pole.
What software does it use?
FJD Trion Scan for capture, FJD Trion Model (PC or tablet) for processing and reports, and FJD Trion Model Web for online sharing and collaboration. Software licensing is confirmed with your quote.
Is the S1 still current?
FJD still lists the S1, but its newer S2 series adds integrated RTK, built-in cameras and up to 300 m range. We confirm S1 availability with your quote and can quote the S2 for comparison.
