Which drones does it fit?
The DJI Matrice 4T and Matrice 4E. It does not fit the Matrice 30 or Matrice 350 series.
How much can I drop?
DJI rates the Matrice 4E and 4T for a maximum payload of 200 g (7.1 oz). This unit weighs 75 g, which leaves about 125 g (4.4 oz) for what you drop. The 1.5 kg per hook rating applies to the mechanism only.
Can I release the two hooks separately?
Yes. Each hook releases independently from DJI Pilot 2, or you can release both together.
Do the strobes need their own battery?
No. The strobes are powered by the aircraft and offer five flash modes set from the DJI Pilot 2 toolbar.
Is it legal to drop things from my drone?
FAA Part 107 prohibits dropping objects in a way that creates an undue hazard to people or property. Plan drops with that rule and any local rules in mind.
